ZELOVIC

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Alongside my own directing work, I occasionally collaborate as a cinematographer on feature documentaries by other directors.

For Zelovic Films, I contributed camera work on multiple shooting days to two feature documentaries: Home Game by Lidija Zelovic and Glass, My Unfulfilled Life by Rogier Kappers.

Both films are built around the directors themselves. They film a significant part of the material on their own, as part of the film’s language. I step in on selected shooting days where an outside cinematographer is needed — someone who understands that way of working and can operate within it.

Home Game is Lidija Zelovic’s essay film about displacement, family and political change, built from footage filmed over decades, and later broadcast by HUMAN (NPO 2). The film was awarded at international festivals, including Movies That Matter.

Glass, My Unfulfilled Life is Rogier Kappers’ self-portrait, following his pursuit of a childhood dream to become a musician on the glass organ — a process unfolding over several years. The film premiered at IDFA and went on to win the Golden Alexander at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival.

I’m currently working with Rogier Kappers again on a new project.
