FOAM MUSEUM
STEFFI REIMERS
Foam Museum Amsterdam presents the first solo exhibition of Dutch photographer Steffi Reimers. In Guilty Grounds, photos of the landscape in Aspromonte National Park and its surroundings tell us the story of the world’s most powerful criminal organisation, the ‘Ndrangheta.
Curator Aya Musa asked me to make a video portrait of Steffi. I visited her at home and also at her work at the Dutch Forensic Institute. The result is to be seen at Steffi’s expo in Foam Museum (Amsterdam), as well as online.
Foam: Steffi Reimers’ evocative photographic project, Guilty Grounds, offers a profound exploration into the landscapes of Calabria, revealing them as silent witnesses to the unsettling crimes and the dominating influence of the ‘Ndrangheta.
